The instantly recognisable ‘Black Tusk’ Whistler, In the Garibaldi provincial park, British Columbia, Canada. Some say it was formed by volcanic lava erupting into the ice cap that formed a type of mould that solidified the lava into the ‘tusk’. Others that it the remnants of a volcano that has just eroded away. Either way it’s a stunning location and one for the bucket list. 🇨🇦 🇬🇧

Have you ever noticed that Jesus didn’t hand his disciples a textbook. He didn’t enroll them in a course or give them a concordance. He simply invited them to follow him, live life beside him and learn from him. This style of inductive teaching was well established with rabbis and sages before the time of Jesus … and it led to 11 first-century teenagers changing the world! This method of teaching produced a well-known saying from the culture; “hevei mitabek b’afar raglehem”, which literally means “be powdering yourself with the dust of their feet”. The idea was that you should follow so closely behind your rabbi as he walked, that the dust kicked up by his feet would cover your clothes—you would be literally covering yourself in his dust. If you’ve ever been to the deserts of the Holy Land, you know first-hand how much dust there is and how easily it clings to your shoes and clothes, which is why the picture makes sense—as you follow your rabbi and are covered in his dust, your heart is changed. Can you imagine what your day would be like if you followed Jesus' example and teaching so closely that you would be covered in his dust? I wonder how many people reading this want to be covered in the dust of Jesus today! • Jesus called out to them, "Come, follow me" — Matthew 4:19 • • • • • #holyland #ig_israel #igourisrael #insta_israel #sunrise_and_sunsets #galilee #seaofgalilee #israel #dailyverse #verseoftheday #bibleverse #bible #godisgreat #prayer #jesus #christianity #dailydevotion #christian #faith #holyspirit #bibleinphotos #god #jesuschrist #jesussaves #godisgood #shereadstruth #dailydevotional #biblestudy #lensdistortions #scripture
